A 41-year-old man is facing assault charges following a violent attack on a woman in Newark.
Authorities say Lee Harris allegedly followed the woman home from a bus stop during the early morning hours of Sept. 18.
Investigators say the woman was arriving at her apartment when Harris approached her from behind. He began punching her repeatedly while ordering her to be quiet.
Police say the woman fought back and screamed, prompting Harris to flee.
