A mailbox library place on the property of a Jersey Shore family will get a second chance after the town forced the owners to take it down.
Peter and Grace Hagemeyer placed a “little free library” at the edge of their property so that their neighbors could take or leave books. There are thousands of these libraries across the country.
A neighbor complained, and the family was told to take it down due to code violations.
But after outrage from the rest of the community, the Hagemeyers were told that could put the library back up, it just needs to be 10 feet behind their property line.
