School officials in a Morris County town are warning parents, students and faculty about a possible health issue.
Madison schools Superintendent Dr. Michael Rossi sent a letter to the community warning that a student at Madison High School is being evaluated for possibly having viral meningitis.
Dr. Rossi stated that the chance of any other student becoming ill was very small, but the school is taking the proper precautions.
People infected with viral meningitis usually recover completely with rest and fever-reducing medicine.
There's no specific prevention for viral meningitis.
