The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is offering some advice for people thinking about venturing out for a little pampering. The CDC recommends to book services in advance to remove the need for waiting in a lobby with other people. If you must wait, maintain social distancing.
Before going, ask if all staff are wearing face coverings while working and if there are physical barriers to minimize a risk of transmission, such as a plexiglass barrier.

If the salon allows, wait in your car or outside until your service -- it's recommended you do so. It will limit the amount of people you are around before your appointment.

The CDC also says you should wash your hands or use hand sanitizer immediately before getting your nails done, and after touching any common surfaces such as curing lamps, countertops, and doorknobs.

Use cashless payment when possible, and if you can't -- make sure the employee is changing gloves in between transactions or using hand sanitizer.
The CDC also recommends you look for no-touch waste baskets at the salon.
