Longtime Paterson Public Servant Ed Cotton has died from COVID-19 at the age of 70.

He served on the Paterson City Council, as deputy mayor and as director of the city's public works department.

In recent years, Cotton worked to keep city streets cleans. He also worked as a professional boxing referee.
