A lockdown at the Mills at Jersey Gardens mall in Elizabeth has been lifted following a fight in the food court.

A temporary lockdown was put into place after the fight happened, according to police.

But police say that rumors of an active shooter inside the mall are not true. No gunshots were fired.

Police have increased security at the mall as a precaution, but the mall is back to operating as normal.
