A man from Little Silver was listed as a “presumptive positive” coronavirus case after he attended a convention in Boston where several cases originated from.

The patient is a 27-year-old, who attended the Biogen conference at the Boston Marriot Long Wharf Hotel on Feb. 26 and 27.

The Boston Herald reported that 32 cases of coronavirus reportedly originated from the conference, including the presumed positive case involving the man from Little Silver.

The man has a sibling who attends Red Bank Regional High School, which is closed Tuesday for preventive measures.

The school's Superintendent Louis Moore told News 12 that one of his goals is to handle this without creating fear. 

"We are making common sense decisions based on data and encouraging everyone not to let fear drive decision-making, and I'm confident in my team I'm also confident in the states and the county that we are going to get good advice and we go to do what we need to do to keep everybody safe," he says.

Moore says there will be a meeting with health officials, parents and teachers Tuesday night to decide what the next step will be.
