Gov. Phil Murphy met with TV and movie executives Monday in Hollywood in an attempt to pitch New Jersey as a destination for film crews to set up shop.
Gov. Murphy met with executives from Universal, Disney, Paramount and Warner Brothers.
The trip comes nearly a year after the governor signed a law to revive the state's film tax credit program.
Gov. Murphy has said in the past he wants to make the state a destination for shooting films.
The state has been the backdrop for hundreds of films, from “The Godfather” to “Independence Day” to “War of the Worlds.”
