Parts of the Garden State will see a light coat of snow Tuesday evening, as temperatures begin to plummet and strong winds come to the state.
News 12 New Jersey’s Dave Curren says that the snow should mostly impact parts of southern and western New Jersey. About 1 to 2 inches of snow is expected.
Curren says that the real weather issue will be the cold temperatures and strong winds that will develop by Wednesday morning. Wind advisories are in place for a majority of the state, with winds gusts expected to be over 20 mph.
Wednesday should see high temperatures in the low-40s, but wind chills will make temperatures feel as if they are in the single digits for parts of the day. Wednesday night is expected to see mostly clear skies with temperatures in the teens.
Thursday is expected to see mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the mid-30s.
Curren says that temperatures will begin to warm after Thursday, with weekend highs expected to be in the low-60s.
