There is a new bill to protect New Jersey librarians from harassment.
It comes as some school districts push to ban or remove some books from their shelves.
It is called the “Freedom to Read Act” and proposes that school boards establish requirements for materials in public school libraries and public libraries.
The bill would protect librarians and specialists from being sued.
