A law that will better protect the privacy of judges and prosecutors is heading to Gov. Phil Murphy’s desk for approval.
State lawmakers approved “Daniel’s Law” on Monday. The measure prohibits posting online the home addresses and phone numbers of judges and prosecutors.
The law was named for Daniel Anderl, the late son of Judge Esther Salas. Anderl was shot and killed during an attack at his home. Authorities say that the shooter was targeting Salas and that he had found the home address on the internet.
