Firefighters in Burlington County have finally contained a large brush fire.
The fire started Thursday at the Wharton State Forest in Shamong.
Police closed Route 206 in the area of the fire and nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution.
According to the New Jersey State Fire Service, the fire burned 710 acres of land before it was contained.
No homes were damaged and no one was hurt by the fire. 
Fire crews will stay at the scene to make sure the fire does not rekindle.
