The police officer shot in the face executing a warrant in Lakewood last month is speaking publicly for the first time about the incident.
Patrolman Jonathan Wilson and three other members of the department's Tactical Entry Team were shot entering the home. Wilson was shot through the bridge of his nose. The bullet exited through the side of his head.
"I didn't know I was actually hit until I actually saw blood on the ground and I felt warm and it was going down my face," says Wilson.
Wilson may not be able to see again out of one eye. He still plans on returning to work when he can.
"It's in my heart, I love it," says Wilson.
