Family and friends of a former Keyport high school sports star mourned his mysterious dead Sunday.J.J. Bedle, a standout wide receiver on the football field, went to sleep Friday and never woke up. His sister found the 21-year-old?s lifeless body inside the family's home. Within an hour Saturday, 50 to 60 friends and community members gathered outside the home in support and mourning. Friends say if ever there was a God in their community, Bedle was it.Bedle went on to play at Syracuse and Delaware State. His goal was to play for the NFL. Bedle?s high school jersey is on display outside the family?s house in commemoration of the tragic loss.
