The owner of a Keyport coffee shop spent her Easter helping those in need.
Espresso Joe's on West Front Street transformed into a soup kitchen Sunday, opening its doors to offer free soup, sandwiches, coffee, tea and dessert to those who may not have had anywhere to go for Easter dinner.
The community has rallied around the effort with donations as well.
"The holidays you're more emotional and you're more subject to depression and loneliness and everybody kind of concentrates on the things that they've lost, instead of the things that they have,” says owner Felicia McIntosh. “So this is nice to kind of bring people together, make people happy."
McIntosh says she has wanted to do something like this every year since she decided to own her own cafe.
