K-9 cadets named after fallen Port Authority officers graduate academy

The graduating K-9s -- Amo, Mag, Mimmo, Stuey and Bruce -- were named in honor of Christopher Amoroso, Bruce Reynolds, David LeMagne and Walwyn Stuart Jr. They died during the 9/11 attacks.

A new class of K-9cadets named in honor of fallen Port Authority officers graduated Friday.
The graduating K-9s -- Amo, Mag, Mimmo, Stuey and Bruce -- were named in honor of Christopher Amoroso, Bruce Reynolds, David LeMagne and Walwyn Stuart Jr. They died during the 9/11 attacks.
The agency began training detection K-9s in 1993. The graduating class specializes in explosives, narcotics and training.
Jamie Amoroso, wife of Christopher Amoroso, says she was honored to hear his name will live on.
Relatives of the fallen officers will receive a commemorative plaque for their loved ones' sacrifice.
