Lady Liberty has had a rough week.
A protester scaled the Statue of Liberty on July 4, and the day before a federal judge ordered the U.S. Postal Service to pay $3.5 million to an artist for the use of an image of the Statue of Liberty on its Forever stamp.
The Statue of Liberty featured on the stamp is actually from a replica statue that sits in front of a Las Vegas casino.
In the copyright infringement lawsuit against the Postal Service, the artist who made the Las Vegas replica said he updated her features to make her more feminine and contemporary.
The Las Vegas statue is about half the size of the real Statue of Liberty.
