Management at the Jersey Shore Outlets says it is expecting huge crowds Friday evening despite the weather, especially with it being close to Christmas.
Shoppers say they didn't mind the rain because they had to finish shopping for gifts for their friends and family.
"It's not pleasant but you gotta do it, it's that time of the year," says Marybeth Correia.
"It's tolerable," says Elliot Correia. "We were saying this morning thank God it's not snow."
Ponding has been reported on neighborhood streets.
Management also says to plan ahead if you head to the outlets Saturday or Sunday, as they expect large crowds as the weather dries out.
