Jersey Proud: Salvation Army opens new food pantry in Perth Amboy
The Salvation Army opened a new food pantry in Middlesex County to help meet the increasing need for donations.
Since the start of the pandemic, food pantries and soup kitchens around New Jersey have seen traffic like never before.
In response, the Salvation Army opened a food pantry in Perth Amboy to offer free food to those in need.
The Colonial Diner in East Brunswick has donated thousands of meals to the location.
Through its network of food pantries, the Salvation Army consistently served over 8,000 people last year.
