A Cub Scouts’ Pinewood Derby race was held at the Quakerbridge Mall in Lawrenceville a few days ago.
The scouts got to show off their creations and put them to the test. The Pinewood Derby is a 71-year-old tradition for the Cubs Scouts. Scouts shape the cars from a block of wood and then race them.
The competition fosters creativity and innovation. Awards go out not just to the fastest cars, but the best looking as well.
