There has been an inside joke being passed down from one generation to the next in Jersey City.

Inside the historic Loews Theater in Journal Square sits a massive lobby chandelier. It is 15 feet tall and dates back 94 years.

Every decade or so, workers bring it down to clean it and change the bulbs. Back in the 1990s, someone discovered a little alien toy figure. A few years later, a second alien joined the first.

Little green men looking down on visitors ever since.
