One of New Jersey's favorite foods - a sub - can go a long way. Especially when Jersey Mike's Subs donates every penny of sales on Wednesday to a very special charity.
The annual day of giving at Jersey Mike's benefits many people. This year, every penny raised is going to The Valerie Fund, a charity supporting comprehensive health care for children battling cancer and blood disorders. And all customers need to do is buy a sub.
All month long, every store from coast to coast accepts donations in addition to the day where all proceeds are donated. In 2022, more than $20 million was raised for the special Olympics USA games and states programs. Local stores in New Jersey raised more than $1.1 million. The month of giving began back in 2011, and in that short time, more than $67 million was raised for local charities.
In New Jersey, 125 Jersey Mike's raised funds for The Valerie Fund. In addition, the New Brunswick Jersey Mike's location supported Rutgers University Dance Marathon. The Hamilton and Delran locations supported Ryan's Quest.
