A 101-year-old Jersey City woman watched excitedly Tuesday as President Barack Obama was sworn into office.
Grace Linkhorn, along with her two daughters, who are in their 70s and 80s, says she is ecstatic she witnessed Obama's journey to the top.
Linkhorn, who will be 102 in July, was raised in the segregated South by a white father and a mother who was half African-American, half American-Indian. Last summer, she met Obama as he campaigned in New Jersey and was inspired by his message and his personal story. Linkhorn volunteered for his campaign with her daughters and together, they registered hundreds of new voters.
All three women say they will continue to volunteer for the president.
