Jersey Buzz: Goo Goo Dolls tour hits New Jersey; Netflix series filming in Newark

The Goo Goo Dolls are performing at the Borgata in Atlantic City and at the PNC Bank Arts Center this summer.

Get ready to jam out with the Goo Goo Dolls in New Jersey this summer!
The band will perform hits like "Slide" and "Iris" for its The Big Night Out Tour. The Goo Goo Dolls and fellow rock band Oar will light up the stage Aug. 11 at the Borgata in Atlantic City at 8 p.m. and Aug. 12 at the PNC Bank Arts Center at 7 p.m.
There's a new Netflix series being filmed in Downtown Newark. The six-part emotional thriller "Eric" was filming at the corner of Halsey and Central Avenue last week. The series is about a puppeteer who snaps when his 9-year-old son suddenly vanishes.
"Eric" stars Benedict Cumberbatch, who most famously starred in the Marvel movie "Dr. Strange." Also starring in the series is Clark Peters who grew up in Englewood. The series is set to be released sometime next year.
