? Swimming in the Jersey Shore ocean this week may feel slightly disgusting, thanks to an infestation of small, non-stinging jellyfish.

The jellyfish, known as ?sea walnuts? or salps, collect in large groups resembling white foam on the water. Hot weather in August and September and little wind create perfect conditions for the salps. Experts say it could be worse ? as it was the last two years.

The salps are expected to move out into the ocean next week, when storms will cause the wind to shift.
