Jackson Township man accused of killing girlfriend to remain in jail

An Ocean County man accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend in Jackson Township will remain behind bars pending trial.
Shaquille Green, 29, is charged with murder and multiple weapons offenses in the Sept. 6 killing of 28-year-old Toraya Reid. Prosecutors said Green shot Reid several times outside her apartment complex.
Reid was the sister of Asbury Park native and Minnesota Timberwolves center Naz Reid.
Green is facing charges of murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon. A judge ordered him detained following a detention hearing on Thursday.
