The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released new COVID-19 guidelines for the holidays.
The agency says the most important thing you can do is get vaccinated. They are also encouraging people to mask up and consider virtual rather than in-person gatherings.
When to comes to how things will look by Christmas, Dr. Anthony Fauci says it’s just too soon to tell.

“You know, it's just too soon to tell,” says Dr. Fauci. “We've just got to concentrate on continuing to get those numbers down and not try to jump ahead by weeks or months and say what we're going to do at a particular time. Let's focus like a laser on continuing to get those cases down and we can do it by people getting vaccinated.”
Dr. Fauci continued to say, “Also in the situation where boosters are appropriate to get people boosted because we know that they can help greatly in diminishing infection and diminishing advanced disease. The kinds of data that are now accumulating in real time.”
If you plan to celebrate indoors with family and guests, the CDC recommends opening windows and doors to keep the air circulating.
