Residents around New Jersey mourn as the deadly impact of the Iraq war hits home.
Army Private Anthony Sausto, 22, from Atlantic County, was killed in Baghdad Thursday. He had been in Iraq just two months before he was killed. Sausto was one of the more than 70 soldiers from New Jersey have been killed fighting in Iraq so far.
In Lodi, a funeral was held for 23-year-old Vincenzo Romero, who was killed fighting in Iraq last week.
In Cedar Knolls, Marines, firefighters and residents of Morris County turned out for a street renaming ceremony honoring Christopher Cosgrove, who was killed by a suicide bomber at a checkpoint in Iraq. Cosgrove was killed just four days before he was schedule to go home. Soldiers in Cosgrove?s battalion, his fiancé and family members attended Saturday?s ceremony.
