Residents in Hunterdon County say that they are concerned about an insect that poses a potential risk to New Jersey.
Spotted lanternfly were recently found in Pennsylvania. Residents across the border in New Jersey say that they hope the insects stay in Pennsylvania.
The insects can cause damage to trees and plants, as well as the farming and fruit industries.
The New Jersey Nursery and Landscape Association held a meeting Thursday to discuss the risks involved with the spotted lanternfly.
