Flooding from a broken fire hydrant caused major problems for some NJ Transit commuters Thursday. Service was temporarily suspended on the Montclair-Boonton line east of Denville after a truck hit a fire hydrant. Five high-capacity pumps were brought in to remove the water, which at one point was more than a foot above the rails. NJ Transit bus, DeCamp Bus and Newark Light Rail services are cross honoring tickets. NJ Transit officials say service has resumed, but passengers may experience some residual delays.
