Hundreds of Bronx residents lined the streets of Throgs Neck Sunday to honor servicemen and women in the annual Veterans Day Parade.
The procession kicked off from East Tremont and Lafayette avenues. Armed forces veterans joined local high school marching bands, cheerleaders and other marchers in the parade.
Participants and spectators say the parade is a way for them to thank veterans, honor those who are currently serving in the U.S. and overseas and pay tribute to fallen soldiers.
