Hundreds of residents gathered on the boardwalk Sunday to march in the Point Pleasant Beach Easter parade.
The annual parade offers trophies for the best float, cutest boy and girl, and most creative bonnet. Neighbors say the festivities are more than just a display of Easter cheer, but a good-natured competition.
Those in attendance say each year, people wear their Easter best, including fake fur jackets for the little ones to brave the chilly weather. This year, spectators say the floats were the best yet. One even featured live bunnies hopping around.
The event is sponsored by Jenkinson's Boardwalk and the Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce.
