Hundreds of friends, family and fellow members of law enforcement attended the funeral of a New Jersey state trooper who was killed in a car crash last week.
The funeral for Trooper Frankie Williams was held at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City Monday afternoon. The first two hours were for Williams' friends and family and the second two hours were for law enforcement. Williams' family requested that the burial service remain private.
The 31-year-old Williams, of Egg Harbor Township, was responding to reports of an erratic driver in Millville last Monday night when that driver crossed the median and struck Williams' vehicle head-on.
Williams died at a hospital. The driver who struck him, 61-year-old Lloyd Rudley, also was killed.
