House fire in Woodland Park injures firefighter, resident

Mayor Tracy Kallert says six people were home at the time of the fire - two adults and a baby upstairs, and three adults downstairs, but everyone escaped.

A two-alarm house fire broke out early Monday morning at a two-family Woodland Park home, sending thick, dark smoke into the morning sky.
Viewer-submitted video shows intense flames engulfing the residence at 81 Marcellus Ave., with firefighters from multiple departments battling the flames.
Mayor Tracy Kallert says six people were home at the time of the fire - two adults and a baby upstairs, and three adults downstairs - but everyone escaped.
A firefighter and a resident were transported to the hospital. Their conditions were currently unknown.
Initial reports indicate there was significant hoarding inside the home and a collapsed garage.
The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
