Approximately 500 homes in Morris County are without water Tuesday after a water main break, fire officials say.
Local firefighters say the water main break occurred in a wooded area.
Officials say usually a water main break takes place under a street, but since it was in a wooded area, it was difficult to access and repair.
The Dover Township Web site stated that repairs are under way and water should be restored to homes by Tuesday afternoon.
