(08/03/06) HOBOKEN ? The intense heat wave blanketing New Jersey has turned normally popular outdoor cafes in Hoboken into veritable ghost towns.
Many people usually enjoy the outdoor summer weather, but many diners say the temperature is making it impossible to stay outside for a long period of time. While residents typically wait a long time to snatch an outdoor restaurant table, the most popular atmosphere this week has been the air-conditioned comfort inside the establishments.
The evening hours typically offer some relief to those wishing to eat outside. However, the humidity of the night is also proving difficult for diners to overcome.
