Hoboken officials hope to make COVID-19 testing easier as demand increases

The demand for COVID-19 tests is growing fast as people have reported waiting hours on lines to get one before celebrating the holidays with their families.
The City of Hoboken has acknowledged the difficulty for residents to get their tests.
Hoboken Health Department says the city saw 35 new cases on Friday. Currently, there are eight people hospitalized.
To help residents ahead of the Christmas travel plans, the city is adding additional testing. Starting Monday, 1,500 new appointments will be added for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
For those who are unable to get to a testing site, there is a new program to have a COVID-19 testing kit to your home. You can request that kit here.
