Residents in Hoboken and parts of Jersey City are still urged to boil water after Saturday?s water main break disrupted water service.
United Water is waiting on test results after construction crews broke a 36-inch water main in Jersey City. The break left Hoboken and the Newport section of Jersey City without water.
Though the water is back on, residents are still advised to boil their tap water until the results come back Tuesday.
Meanwhile, many residents are concerned because they felt they should have found out about the water problems sooner. Hoboken Mayor Dave Roberts said the issue of getting the word out faster should be resolved shortly.
?We are implementing a reverse 911 system, I just authorized that, so in the future, we?ll be able to call every Hoboken resident that has a phone,? Roberts said.
