Mickey Mendez allegedly assaulted officers while being taken into custody earlier this month. Witnesses reported Mendez and Darnel Walker arguing and claimed they had a gun in their car.
Police intervened, finding neither man was a Housing Authority resident. As Mendez was arrested, he flailed and bit an officer on the arm.
