A hit-and-run crash on the New Jersey Turnpike Hudson Extension in Newark left an Elizabeth man injured late Sunday night, according to New Jersey State Police.
Troopers responded to the westbound lanes near milepost 1.9 at about 10:32 p.m. May 17 for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.
A preliminary investigation found an unknown vehicle traveling westbound struck Kyle Reid, 30, of Elizabeth, police said. The driver left the scene before troopers arrived.
Reid suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
