New Jersey's presidential primary election is less than a week away, and the candidates are making last-minute campaign appearances in the Garden State.
Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, made several appearances in New Jersey Wednesday.
Hillary Clinton took the stage at Rutgers University's Golden Dome Athletic Center in Newark with Sen. Cory Booker and musician Jon Bon Jovi.
The candidate spoke about creating jobs and bringing them to Newark. She also criticized Republican candidate Donald Trump.
A new Monmouth University poll shows that Clinton leads Trump by four points in the general election race. But polling expert Patrick Murray says that a close race isn't unusual at this point in the election process.
He says that what is more surprising is that both candidates were unusually unpopular with a section of the voters.
"Eleven percent of New Jersey voters said, 'I'm going to vote for somebody else' even though we didn't tell them that was an option. We rarely see that level unless we actually offer that opinion," Murray says.
Murray says that this leaves room for a third-party candidate to make an impact.
Meanwhile, Bill Clinton made a speech at Union County College in Cranford.
New Jersey's primary will be on June 7.
