Parts of Ocean County were drenched by powerful, fast-moving storms Monday evening.
This storm came out of the west and quickly gave the area a good soaking. It provided the region with some much-needed rain and a break from the heat.
The storms produced lots of thunder and lightning. Temperatures dropped from 88 degrees to 76 degrees in a matter of minutes.
The slight cooldown came after a long stretch of temperatures in the mid- to upper-90s.
