Police say two people were hospitalized following reports of an explosion this morning at an industrial complex in Branchburg, Somerset County.
A heavy emergency presence responded to the scene, including hazmat teams. Branchburg police say someone called 911 to report an explosion. They say EMS had to treat people on the scene and two were taken to the hospital for further treatment.
An ambulance was seen leaving Meister Avenue and County Line Road. The road was closed for hours this morning and has since reopened.
Dean Bogner, of CMG Plastic, told News 12 New Jersey that a variety of companies work are on the road, including trucking, graphics and chemical companies.
Immediate details surrounding the cause of the reported explosion have not yet been confirmed.
