With Election Day nearing, New Jersey?s three candidates for governor are taking different routes to the finish line.
Gov. Jon Corzine intends to continue enlisting the aid of big-name Democrats. Former President Bill Clinton makes a return visit Tuesday to stump for the governor. President Barack Obama returns to the Garden State Nov. 1, only two days before the election.
Republican Chris Christie is focusing on smaller events built around themes he?s emphasizing on in his campaign. Independent Chris Daggett is pushing the message that he still has a shot at winning and a vote for him will not be wasted.
A new poll out Monday shows Corzine surging ahead with 42 percent of the vote. The poll puts Christie at 33 and Daggett at seven.
