An 80-year-old man was killed in a head-on crash in Jackson Township Friday, police said.

According to police, units responded to Toms River Road near Aiden Lane around 4 p.m. on Feb. 6 for a report of a two-vehicle collision.

Police said a 2022 Toyota Sienna traveling northbound crossed the double yellow line and struck a southbound Ford F-250 head-on.

The driver of the Toyota, identified as Michael McDonald of Jackson Township, was pronounced dead at the scene. One vehicle caught fire, authorities said.

The crash is being investigated by the Jackson Police Traffic Safety Unit. Police asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Officer Thomas Parise at 732-928-1111.
