? The snow moved on, but fierce winds and dropping temperatures posed a new threat overnight Monday.
According to Mayor Michael Bloomberg, 1,400 plows and 2,000 workers on 12-hour shifts did their best to clear nearly 6,000 miles of roadway from the biggest snowfall of the winter season. The mayor also stated that it would be a good time for New Yorkers to take advantage of the ?Snow Day,? but to use caution at the same time.
?We don't need anyone to fall and break a hip or something like that,? said Bloomberg.
Alternate side of the street parking is suspended for Tuesday.
