The Bistro at Haddonfield is open for business, serving customers outdoors during the pandemic.
“We run like a continental-style menu,” says owner Nick Lavdas. “We have a feta watermelon salad. We have a lamb burger.
He says that they are always trying to offer food that is creative and different – all in a COVID-19-compliant setting.
“We’ve always been popular for our outside dining, so, obviously in this situation it’s worked out for us as long as the weather is compliant,” Lavdas says.
He says that while it is not easy for his cooks to work in a hot kitchen while wearing masks, safety is their No. 1 priority.
“Sanitizing, being careful," he says.
But Lavdas says that none of it would be possible without his loyal customers.
“I’d like to thank my customers. Every one of them,” he says.
The bistro is also making changes to the inside of the restaurant while they wait to hear when indoor dining can resume.
