Police say a man was threatened with a knife at a McDonald’s in Hackensack on Monday.
Shajee Jackson, of Hackensack, approached a 28-year-old man inside the bathroom at the restaurant on Essex Street, according to officials. They say Jackson demanded money and threatened to stab him.
When the would-be victim refused, police say Jackson ran off. Officials say they were able to arrest him about two blocks away where he was still in possession of the knife.
Jackson is facing robbery and weapons charges and will be held in Bergen County Jail until his first court appearance in Hackensack.
