The Morris division of Habitat for Humanity has started the construction of Succasunna Condominiums.
A dozen new condos will be built on the former site of Roxbury's Public Works Department where “green" or reusable building materials are a main component.
The condos will provide housing for 12 families in need.
"This helps build communities and end the cycle of poverty. When you have home-ownership, it is the key and the solution to making sure we can survive as a community and as a state and country."
Habitat for Humanity is a global, non-profit housing organization and Morris is one of more than 1,300 affiliates nationwide.
