yesterdayA state grand jury has voted no to criminally charge a police officer in a deadly shooting in Gloucester County.
The shooting happened in January 2023 and involved Deptford Police Officer Luke Ivey. He shot and killed Daniel Nevius, of Sicklerville.
The investigation revealed that Nevius pointed his rifle at responding officers during an investigation. Authorities say this is when Ivey fired his service weapon, killing Nevus.
